BODY TYPES

  • You have a straight silhouette with not many curves. Shoulders, waist and hips are similar width.

Break up your boxy shape with pieces that create shape while cinching in the waist. Prints are great for you!

Avoid pieces with no defined shape.

CELEBRITY EXAMPLES: Ariana Grande, Hilary Duff, Taylor Swift & Chrissy Teigen

  • You have broader shoulders than hips, with little to no waist definition. Your body follows the shape of a “V.”

Wear open necklines to break up the shoulders. Add fuller bottoms to balance with your shoulders. Look for shirts that flare from the waist to the hips to give the illusion of shape.

    Avoid straight or tight bottoms.

CELEBRITY EXAMPLES: Naomi Campbell, Sophie Turner & Zendaya

  • Your hips and bust are nearly equal in size and you have a well-defined waist that's narrower than both.

Appear curvier by adding volume to the bust and hips, while cinching the waist. If you want to downplay your curves, wear dark colors.

    Avoid Straight and Boxy Silhouettes.

CELEBRITY EXAMPLES: Scarlet Johansson, Selma Hayk & Megan Thee Stallion

  • Your hips are wider than your bust, and your waist is your smallest point.

Add structure to your shoulders. Wear brighter colors, prints and texture on your top half. Accentuate your waist.

Avoid boxy silhouettes, low rise and tight bottoms.

CELEBRITY EXAMPLES: Doja Cat, Barbie Ferreira & Kristin Davis

  • You carry your weight around your waistline and have narrow hips. Apples have a larger bust and typically love showing off their lean legs!

For the most part, it’s best to wear print and color on your bottom half and darker colors on your top half to achieve balance.

    Opt for more structured clothing.

CELEBRITY EXAMPLES: Adele, Katy Perry & Oprah
